CPU-Z è un software freeware in grado di ricavare varie informazioni sul sistema (e in particolare sulla cpu) basato sul motore di riconoscimento hardware Panopsys.
Queste le principali componenti del sistema riconosciute da CPU-Z:
- Nome e versione del processore.
- Voltaggio del processore.
- Clock interno ed esterno, moltiplicatore del clock.
- Riconoscimento dell'overclock.
- Features del processore, inclusi i set di comandi supportati.
- Informazioni sulle cache da L1 a L3: posizione, dimensione, velocità, tecnologia.
- Informazioni sulla scheda madre: nome, fabbricante, BIOS, chipset, memoria, PCI-E o AGP.
- Informazioni sulla memoria: dimensioni, tipo, velocità, specifiche.
