E' finalmente arrivato da poco alla prima build definitiva Songbird, un music player (e molto altro) open source, che prende degli spunti interessanti anche dal browser firefox (integrando il motore di rendering Gecko) e che si propone come alternativa ad altri attualmente blasonati player, tra i quali anche iTunes, del quale potrebbe per naura insidiare la posizione di dominanza su pc Windows e Linux-based.

Disponibile come mozilla Firefox in numerose lingue e (grazie all'utilizzo di XUL e altre features passate dal browser del panda rosso) completamente customizzabile con una serie di ottime estensioni e skin.
